TOKYO, March 12, 2019—UrDoc (Office: Meguro, Tokyo, Founder: Kazunari Karahashi) won first prize on Wednesday, March 6 at the Plug and Play Japan Batch 2 Expo (PnP Japan, Japan office: Shibuya, Tokyo, Representative: Phillip Vincent) and introduced its latest logo and user interface, which will be going public in Spring 2019.
At the Batch 2 Expo—also known as “Demo Day”—held from March 6 through 7 at Belle Salle Shibuya Garden in Tokyo, 53 startups in four verticals (IoT, Fintech, Insurtech and Mobility), both domestic and international, presented their achievements through the 3-month acceleration program kicked off in November 2018. In addition to startups, 22 corporation partners and a group of investors joined the event, totaling up to 1,533 participants through two days. As one of the most appreciated startups, alongside other three winners, UrDoc won the first place in the Insurtech vertical, turning into a gateway to pitching in front of a variety of global audiences through the network of Plug and Play.
Besides the renewed logo and user interface, the Expo participants were also able to have a pre-taste of UrDoc’s automated system. The company developed a chatbot guiding patient users to create Japanese medical information sheets on a multilingual interface. The system is available in this spring as well. UrDoc’s new presence was favorably received by a majority of business participants ranging from corporate partners to investors, providing potential opportunities of future collaborations.
